Lifetime Achievement Manifesto - A tribute by Italian graphics to the Compasso d'Oro masters
During the inauguration of the new ADI Design Museum - Compasso d'Oro, a specific section dedicated to the 142 Compassi d'Oro for Lifetime Achievement was celebrated. We were asked to create a poster-tribute to the Compasso d'Oro 2014 dedicated to the Apple company. Apple has always recognized design as a fundamental component of the products and services that have revolutionized our way of life. The idea of the manifesto is that of a symbolic synthesis where past, present and future give shape to a meeting of the tangible and intangible, analogue and digital: the perforated ribbon of the first calculators and the Command key. To know one's past and to know oneself are the foundations on which to build the future.

Perforated paper tape is one of the earliest forms of data storage in the form of small perforations made longitudinally at regular intervals. It was used throughout the 19th and most of the 20th centuries for programmable looms, teleprinter communications, for input to computers in the 1950s and 1970s, and later as a storage medium for minicomputers and CNC machine tools. The information is encoded on the basis of a reference code. The first Basic language interpreter written for computers was delivered on punched tape.
